Retrievable cment retained implant retoration

Abstract
The best advantage of screw-retained implant restoration is retrievability. And the best advantage of cement-retained implant restoration is passive fit. Therefore, retrievable cement-retained implant restoration that combines the advantages of two types in implant restorations was designed.
The purpose of the present study was to present author experience with retrievable fixed partial dentures cemented on implant abutments during a¢¥4- year period.
This retrospective study involved patients who were partially edentulous and were treated in the oral rehabilitation department
at Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, South-Korea, on a routine basis. j.
This study presents a follow-up of 125 implant-supported fixed partial dentures that have been retrievable cement retained for 6 months up to 4 years. Included in this study were 47 men and 50 women. A Total of 325 implants were placed (106 in maxilla and 219 in mandible). Fixed partial dentures include 2 units, 3 units, 4 units and 8units. The implant fixtures and the prosthesis components have been used the Branemark, the ITI and the 3i system. Complications encountered were temporary resin crown fracture, porcelain fracture. This study suggested an alternative to screw-retained implant prosthesis and cement retained implant
prosthesis.
